TTNZ Regional Squads 2027 Selection Criteria
Table Tennis New Zealand will have Regional Squads in 2027.
To be considered for selection in a Regional Squad:
- Players need to either meet all ITTF eligibility requirements to represent NZ in all ITTF events, OR be on the ITTF register serving a stand-down period.
- ITTF Eligibility is defined as: A player who meets all ITTF requirements; A NZ citizen who holds a NZ passport and has served any stand-down period as per ITTF regulations.
- Players MUST play in at least three association open and/or National-level tournaments in 2026.
- The exact number and ages of players selected in the Regional Squads will be at TTNZ’s discretion, in alignment with the new player pathway and frameworks which will come into effect in 2026.
- Players must be maintaining regular training under an accredited coach (minimum of 2 sessions per week).
- The exact number and ages of players selected in the Regional Squads will be at TTNZ’s discretion, in alignment with the new player pathway and frameworks which will come into effect in 2027.
