Format of Play
Teams:
All 3-player team events will follow a format with the team match order of—A v X, B v Y, C v Z, doubles, A v Y, C v X, B v Z.
All 2-player team events will follow a format with the team match order of—A v X, B v Y, doubles, A v Y, B v X.
All matches will be Best of 5 games to 11 points.

Withdrawal and Refund Process
No refund will be provided after the close of entry date. In the event of cancellation of certain events, a refund is limited to the value of the applicable entry fee paid, and no additional compensation will be payable.
Entry Conditions
All players entering the tournament will be deemed to have read and accepted the Entry Conditions under which the tournament and the events are to be conducted. This tournament is eligible for Ranking points.
Eligibility to Enter Events

Players must be a member of a South Island table tennis association affiliated with Table Tennis New Zealand (TTNZ).

Players may play in a maximum of one event per day. For example, Open/U15 or Open/U19 or U13/U15 etc.

Eligibility for under-age events is determined by age as at the 31st December 2025. Proof of age may be required.

Eligibility for over-age events is determined by age as at the 31st December 2026. Proof of age may be required.

Open Women's and U19/U15/U13 Girl’s Teams require a minimum of two players and can have a maximum of three.

O40 Men's and O40 Women's Teams require a minimum of two players and can have a maximum of three.

Open Men’s Teams require a minimum of three players and can have a maximum of five.

U19/U15/U13 Boy’s Teams require a minimum of three players and can have a maximum of four.

Team entries will only be accepted via email from associations using the appropriate entry form.

TTNZ reserves the right to combine events where the event has insufficient entrants at their discretion.
Additional Entry Conditions for South Island Teams Championships
Associations can enter unlimited teams in any category but only 2 will be accepted for the highest grade.
Team entries will only be accepted via email from Associations only using the appropriate entry form. Any changes to team personnel must be advised to the TTNZ event contact – John Cordue john@tabletennis.nz immediately once known.
All round robin teams contests MUST be played to completion. Only knockout team contests can finish once a result is obtained.
Once a result is obtained in any contest an association may substitute in an eligible player, or players, to take the place of a starting player for his or her remaining matches. No player may play in more than one position on the result sheet.
O40 events will feature a guaranteed minimum of four rounds, which differs from the standard national tournament regulations. This adjustment is to ensure an earlier finish time on the Monday.
All matches will be best of five advantage games to 11.
Seedings, Draws and Results
Seedings and draws will be constructed using the current TTNZ Ranking lists at the close of entry.
Regulations
The tournament will be conducted in accordance with the TTNZ National Tournament Regulations and the current ITTF Laws and Regulations of Table Tennis. The Referee’s decisions are final.

Gold, Silver and Bronze medals will be awarded in all team events

No white clothing or singlets shall be worn. Athletes may wear any clothing that complies with ITTF Regulations.
Racket Control
All rackets must comply with ITTF Regulations. Racket control testing may be conducted at any time without prior warning.

By participating in this tournament, participants consent to TTNZ using theirs or their minor's photographs and images for promotional and publicity purposes.
