Four Qualification Spots on the Line
Four qualification spots for the National Team Qualifier event will be determined across three regional qualifiers: Northern, Central, and Southern.
The Northern Qualifier offers two spots per category (Open, U19, and U15, for both male and female players), while the Central and Southern Qualifiers each offer one spot per category.
Opportunities Close to Home
These regional qualifying tournaments give players from all parts of New Zealand the chance to compete for national selection without needing to travel far. By spreading the qualifiers across three regions, more players can experience high-level competition in accessible local venues, strengthening participation and connection across the table tennis community.
More Than Just Qualification
Many regional qualifiers are held alongside association Open tournaments, creating a full weekend of play that includes veterans, graded events, and younger junior age groups. This variety encourages players of all levels to get involved, making each qualifier a true celebration of the sport.
Top Talent on Display
Spectators and developing players also benefit, getting the chance to watch some of New Zealand’s leading athletes in action. The mix of rising juniors and established national representatives creates an exciting playing atmosphere and helps inspire the next generation of players.
