CONSTITUTION & HANDBOOK - effective 18 Feb 2025

TTNZ Handbook - Circulated this to all members on the 20th Dec 2024, to take effect on the 18th February 2025.


Table Tennis New Zealand Incorporated is an Incorporated Society: Registration Number 216082.

As per Section 15 of the TTNZ Constitution:

The Board shall be responsible for the governance of table tennis at National level to carry out the aims and objects of TTNZ, and shall have the following functions and powers in addition to those provided for elsewhere in these rules: 

15 (c) To make, repeal, and amend any rules (other than this document), by-laws or regulations as contained in the TTNZ handbook for the regulation and control of table tennis in New Zealand and representative teams travelling overseas. An up to date version of the TTNZ handbook shall be published on TTNZ Website and made available to any member organisation upon request. 

Any new rules or amendments to the rules in the handbook shall be circulated to all member organisations at least 60 days prior to the date from which these new rules or amendments take effect.

Section 1: Constitution (current updated as of Nov 2018)


The following Handbook sections have been ammended:


Section 6: New Zealand Rankings (November 2017) new version New Zealand Annual Rankings Regulations

Section 8: Player Agreement (December 2017) new version Player Agreement National Squad and/or NZ Team

Section 12: Board Charter and Board Code of Conduct new version Board Charter and Board Code of Conduct


The following Handbook sections have been repealed and replaced with new policies:

Section 11: Policy on Misconduct and Disciplinary Procedures (May 2005) is now replaced with:  Policy 19: Complaints, Disputes and Appeals


The previous Handbook sections:

Section 2: Tournament Guidelines (December 2018) 

Section 4: National Type Championships (December 2018)

Section 5: Veteran Championships (December 2018)

Have now been, repealed and replaced with: National Tournament Regulations

Section 2: General Meetings (November 2011)

Section 9: TTNZ Hosting Agreement (May 2017)

Section 10: Hosting Information (May 2017)

Section 7: Association Awards (November 2017) -A new policy will be developed and released in 2025.
